Rework of a shot I took in Vegas. You won’t find this scene as it appears in this photo though; the white balance selection I chose changed the muddy grey hotel in the background to this this delicious blue. It’s not photo journalism, it’s art, I can do that.
As the color contrast did not exist when I took the shot, lines and texture are what caught my eye. Taken from a relatively quiet roof top, I found this clean, quiet, delineation between colors and textures to be a soothing break from the complicated facades and noisy bustle over the edge just a few feet away,
An interesting post-production observation is that the lines from the hotel and the orange building (on the far left) seem to be a continuation of the same line – this was not a manipulated effect.
