Clouds, Sun, Refraction = Beautiful Sunrise

Although this looks very similar to my post Sun-spired Morning, the shots were taken almost a year apart.  This particular shot was taken just a few mornings ago but it indicates that the sun’s position at this time of year is an important ingredient to baking up a beautiful sunrise.  Sunrises and sunsets are one of the most lovely displays of light refraction that we get to witness on a regular basis.  The question as to why sunrises and sunsets are so beautiful is answered by  National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) here.
