2014 Sturgis Rally – Finale!

I can hardly believe I’ve reached the final post of Rally pictures. I hope you enjoy this last set of hodgepodge photos.

I don’t know what this fellow is saying but I don’t think the cop is buying it!

I took this shot because I saw very few attendees in this age group.

I don’t want to work, I just want to bang on the drum all day!

Not everyone rolls in on a Harley.

Sturgis Brick Project. I couldn’t find a lot of information about the project but it seems you can buy a memorialized brick for $75.

Do you ride yourself? I have a bike, but hate crowds, so have never been tempted to go to a rally. These are great shots. Did anyone object to you shooting them?

  Bunty, thanks for the compliment 🙂 I do not ride myself. When I was young, I saw a friend’s brother get badly hurt from a spill and I think an irrational fear was born at that time. I’m content to watch from the sidelines and I think, if you live here, it’s hard not to have at least a passing love affair with the culture.
  People have been pretty cool about letting me take their photos (knock wood!). I try to be discreet and respectful, ask permission when I can and, despite my right to take photos on a public street, if anyone were to ask me to not do so, I would honor that request.
