Remember Me?

Hello my old blogging friends!  That would be old, as in time we’ve known each other, not your dog-year age.

I have not been here in awhile for a couple of reasons.  The first reason can be found in my previous post.  I’m just getting tired of spending so much time trying to figure out the changes that WordPress is implementing rather than reading blogs.  I think changing things for the better is great…I think changing things just for the sake of changing things…is not so great.  “Nuff said, at least until the next change.

The other, and more significant reason is that my partner and I have started a business, Chimera Artworks. The old adage that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks certainly doesn’t apply to me as I’ve learned so much about starting/running a business and designing/maintaining a website.  It’s only a fraction of what I want to know but each day, that knowledge bank is increasing.

Chimera Artworks L.L.C. is an online art gallery which is currently featuring my work (much of which many of you have seen) but ready to accept applications (that’s a loose term) from other artists.  Our focus will be to carry a small cadre of, primarily local artists from the South Dakota Black Hills area but…not exclusive to that group. The secondary goal is to attract emerging artists who need an affordable venue in which to showcase and market their creative endeavors.  We announced we were Open For Business on June 5th.
